The Dude, Jackie Treehorn, and the Big Lebowski all in one.

In the 1998 cult classic The Big Lebowski, Jeff Bridges plays “The Dude” or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing. The Dude spends most of his time smoking pot, drinking White Russians, listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival, and bowling. In one scene he is drugged by a wealthy porn kingpin named Jackie Treehorn. Upon arrest, the Dude is completely inebriated.

The sheriff of Malibu inquiries into his behavior. He states, “Mr. Treehorn tells us that he had to eject you from his garden party. That you were drunk and abusive.” The Dude stammers: “Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, man.”

It is for the reader of this article to decide if Elon Musk plays the role of the Dude (persona), Jackie Treehorn (psychopath), “the big Lebowski” (technocrat) or all three.

OBVIOUSLY, YOU ARE NOT A GOLFER

Musk has gained notoriety and financial success based on his outlandish persona and innovations despite his emotional and relational cluelessness. In this way, he is “The Dude.”

One could imagine Musk at a party with one of his many intimate partners. A passerby would hear him decry, “She's not my special lady, she’s my fucking lady friend. I’m just helping her conceive, man!” He plays the Dude when he is a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. He will smoke a cigar or some cannabis and be one of the bros: “The Dude abides.”

As “the big Lebowski,” he is endorsed for his ostensible charity and altruistic endeavors. He doesn’t have “the little urban achievers,” and instead he has companies such as SpaceX and Tesla. Therefore, the big Lebowski version of Musk plays a game called Mr. Wonderful. This wonderfulness is based on being the richest person on the planet, having over 214 million online followers, his supposed belief in free speech and democracy, his numerous tech companies with CIA hands all over them, and his conviction that Mars and other planets will be colonized by humans. In his words, he will make humans a “multi-planetary species.”

Elon Musk’s suggestion to nuke the sky over the Martian poles every couple of seconds to create two pulsing suns to warm the planet is just another provocative, outlandish idea from a man who often crosses the boundaries between fiction and reality without major consequences because…well, because he is one of the richest people on Earth. 1

IF YOU WILL IT DUDE, IT IS NO DREAM

Elon Musk plays the slimy yet sophisticated Jackie Treehorn role to further his self-interest and self-enrichment. Musk’s real wonderfulness is based on his symbiotic relationship with the U.S. government. For example, Musk engages in joint ventures “with state-owned organizations such as NASA.” This allows him to utilize taxpayer money for his projects that he profits from.

This neoliberal symbiosis was turbo charged after Musk gave Trump over $200 million dollars in campaign donations (bribes) in 2024. The widow of Sheldon Adelson—Miriam Adelson—did the same for Trump (#IsraelFirst). I would not be surprised if Musk had a poster of Theodor Herzl on his bedroom wall.

History is important here: Musk and his paternal relatives benefited handsomely from South African apartheid. His grandfather—who promoted Technocracy—held anti-government, anti-democratic views, “which included the promotion of far-right antisemitic conspiracy theories, “fanatical” support of apartheid,” and according to his Musk’s father, support of Nazism. 2 And that is from Wikipedia, which for decades has been the tool for spin utilized by the power elite and corporations. Technocracy advocates have

…contended that price system-based forms of government and economy are structurally incapable of effective action, and promoted a society headed by technical experts, which they argued would be more rational and productive.

Price system “forms” include supply and demand markets and cash (currency). The Technocrats do not want to allow for this freedom. For example, when you go on Amazon.com you exit the market and enter a digital fiefdom.3 There is no need for a China-like social credit system because the behavioral modification enforced by Big Tech has already pacified the U.S. citizen.

TechnocracyMonad — The Technocratic symbol. Recall, the Nazis regime stole the universal symbol of “wellbeing” and twisted it, i.e., swastika, and the Technocrats did a similar cultural appropriation using the Daoist yin-yang symbol with different colors. Fuckin’ fascists!

Technocracy demands that society is controlled by experts (Technocrats) who will use their wealth, connections, and data to keep us in line with their perfected futures, e.g., mass surveillance, digital ID’s, facial recognition. It seems that social media applications are all moving toward totalization, i.e., “everything app” which serves this technocratic purpose. Biometrics and advanced artificial intelligence are a wet dream to these supremacists. No doubt technocratic and retrograde forms of libertarianism and racism have influenced Elon Musk.

Years prior, Musk conned the Democratic party and liberal-minded individuals by creating an autonomous iPad on wheels (i.e., Tesla electric cars). He did this in the name of “saving the environment.” In 2024, he switched to team Red and was given full access to Americans’ data via opening the annals of the federal government. Musk had already raked in money from Pentagon contracts as well as his quest for the privatization of low Earth orbit (LEO).

Musk’s fanatical views serve a function: these antics are a smokescreen to distract us away from the modern-day form of eugenics he and people such as Peter Thiel are pushing. Now it is out in the open that Musk and Theil’s ambitions are to use biometrics, medical records, tax records, and totalized monitoring of the “feeble minded” (i.e., non-experts) to cement their global or more so planetary supremacy. Like the smug and wealthy big Lebowski, Musk is connected and therefore shielded from criticism. It is difficult to cancel someone on social media when the offender also owns the media platform of choice (X).

FUCK IT, DUDE, LET’S GO BOWLING ON MARS

In her book, Technocapitalism, the economist Loretta Napoleoni exposes the delusions that Elon Musk promotes. The grandiosity of colonizing Mars is a subterfuge for Musk’s supremacist aims. His real focus is on Low Earth orbit (LEO). The LEO “requires the lowest amount of energy for satellite placement,” and is more accessible for crews and maintenance as well as offering “high bandwidth and low communication latency.” 4

The area of LEO is “between 150 and 500 miles from Earth”5 and it is the center for big business. In 2020 alone, nearly $9 billion of financing was raised by venture capitalists for LEO related companies.6 The reason Musk is interested in LEO and providing internet to the planet with his Starlink program is not for philanthropic concerns. Musk has ejaculated more than 2,000 satellites into LEO and as his Ego grows he has applied to shoot out 40,000 more. LEO is an efficient place to spy on all human beings. Musk’s endeavors are meant to collect data on as many people around the planet as possible.7

This is also the premise for what the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was actually about: Musk getting his hands on rich troves of data while making the government more “efficient” at ripping the citizens off (i.e., deregulation). I think there is a better acronym than DOGE to describe Musk and the other oligarchs: the Department Of Unelected Con-artists Here to Efficiently Be Asshole Gangsters (DOUCHEBAGS).

Recall, what did Musk do as soon as he bought Twitter/X? He deregulated the platform and fired 80% of the employees.8 As the Dude he would say he got rid of the “woke virus” employees. However, this is neoliberalism 101: run every aspect of life as a business with deregulation, corporate mergers, and the social Darwinian elimination of social services (i.e., “welfare state”) as the method.9

With buddies such as Peter Thiel, Musk is part of the “PayPal Mafia” whom he cofounded PayPal.com with in the late 1990s. According to Anita Say Chan’s book Predatory Data, Thiel and Musk are both part of “an informal network of technology financiers, engineers, and capitalists.”

Thiel’s vision for progress as an explicitly economically driven force that should be prioritized by societies even at the cost of conventionally protected democratic values echoed eugenic proponents’ public assertions from over a century ago. 10

Their conviction is to “evolve social services for the twenty-first century through metric-driven, data-focused assessments that promised a return on investment in a way traditional philanthropy had never done.”11 In plain language: a continuation of the Technocratic aspects of the American eugenics’ movement: profiles and data-driven metrics to suppress the underclasses albeit with much better PR. Again, this is the ethos of neoliberalism: running everything based on profits-in-command (competition) without a social safety net (cooperation and altruism). The Technocrats use the rhetoric of “small government,” but really it is the elimination of regulations for them. This aggression will not stand, man.

LOTTA STRANDS IN OLD DUDER’S HEAD

Napoleoni (2024) describes how Elon Musk’s visions for the future evokes a “religious faith” as this supposed savior has created a “messianic special quest” that has turned into “a corporate new religion” whereby we will experience “salvation through space.”12 Musk needs people to believe in his fantasies as cover for his real motivations. For example, terraforming Mars.

Terraforming is a hypothetical endeavor to make an inhabitable planet livable for humans. The intention is to modify “the atmosphere, temperature, surface topography or ecology of a planet, moon, or other body to be similar to the environment of Earth.”13

Mars is a much smaller planet than Earth. In order to make Earthlike conditions Mars would require an immense amount of carbon dioxide. However, Mars only has 38 percent of the gravity that Earth has, “so reproducing our air quality at sea level would be impossible.” 14

The rise of carbon dioxide on Earth that contributes to the rise of annual global temperatures threatens the extinction of human beings. The transfer of this carbon dioxide is what theoretically could transform Mars. As Napoleoni (2024) notes, “It is ironic that what threatens the survival of our planet, i.e., the high production of carbon dioxide, is what is needed to terraform Mars.”15

But what happens when Mars becomes colonized? The weightlessness of low Earth orbit (LEO) alone affects the bone density in human beings. Astronauts lose bone mineral density and have an increase in fractures due to their stay in space. The damage persists for months after these flights to LEO. 16

For periods as long as one year in the low Earth orbit, the negative impact of space upon our bodies can be mitigated and even offset with specific exercises and machines.17

Musk’s t-shirts read, “Occupy Mars” on the front and he makes claims of manufacturing artificial planets and colonizing space within one or two generations. 18 However, Musk’s Occupy Mars t-shirt should read “For Myself And My Progeny” on the back. The true intention behind colonizing space is for greed and not altruism. His ambitions are imperial domination via a Technocratic ideology.

In Predatory Data, Chan (2025) notes Musk’s “creepy insistence that “civilization” will crumble if “we” (as in techno-elites) don’t have more babies.”19 Musk wants to colonize LEO—and space in general—to ensure his gene pool lives forever.

EVERYTHING’S A FUCKIN’ TRAVESTY WITH YOU, MAN!

Musk’s recent display of catch-and-release rockets are not for human colonization and not to create a multiplanetary species. Don’t get me wrong, this is what one of the slides in his presentation read: “Progress is measured by the timeline to establishing a self-sustaining civilization on Mars.” This is his con. The aim is to monopolize resource extraction in space as well as provide weapons systems in LEO. For example, imagine the capacity to send “rockets” filled with bombs. The rocket would be able to land and reload without a human involvement.

Notice how Musk’s eyes are nearly shut. He does not “take in” the world, but rather projects his reality as “reality.'“ The physical body and the subtle holding in or holding back of one’s emotional life reveals characterological issues. This largely occurs prior to speaking to the person if you are trained in character analysis. Here is a brief examination of psychopathy and the psychopathic character structure.

In brief, the psychopathic character must manipulate objects for their own gain to reinforce their sense of superiority. They view other people as fools, because they have developed emotional armor in order to never surrender intimately. They irrationally believe that sexual or loving feelings are dangerous. The reason for this is often due to the psychopath being seduced by a parent figure.

Any emotional or sensual feeling is blocked. The displays Musk unveiled in the above video are ads for the military-industrial complex and not potential benefits for “humanity”. The satellites, Starlink internet, and solar power are in line with the demands of the Pentagon: the thirst for Earthly supremacy. Unfortunately, Musk’s ideas hook many people because of the actual potential for progress from these technological advances:

Harvesting solar energy from LEO has many advantages, especially if such energy is provided to Earth for free, for humanitarian purposes, outside the capitalist paradigm. Imagine supplying energy to areas hit by natural disasters, like hurricanes, so that hospitals could function even during blackouts. Imagine substituting all fossil fuel with solar energy.20

Another example is electric cars. Tesla cars that run on renewable energy are promoted with the impression that individuals are “saving the planet.” The real reason for mobile iPads with steering wheels is surveillance and social control. Plus, if the cars are self-driving then the passengers can buy more shit on Amazon.

Also, Elon Musk can turn off anyone’s Tesla from his smartphone. Soon repossession agents will do the same if the owner of the car is delinquent on their car payments. The added benefit for Musk is that he can capture endless amounts of data from the computer-on-wheels.

But what is the benefit of electric cars compared to the emissions of traditional gas-guzzlers? The major pollution comes from the extraction and shipping of the materials for the electric car batteries. The cobalt that is required for the electric car batteries travels “more than twenty thousand miles, leaving behind a dense trail of carbon.”21 Additionally, producing an electric car “emits 60 percent more CO2 than the manufacture of a traditional car,”22 because of the battery’s carbon footprint.23

The LEO technologies and privatization will be used for monitoring, spying, and harvesting data on us lower rung Earthlings as well as to build weapons arsenals deployed from space. Musk is not an altruistic pioneer adventuring beyond sci-fi fantasy. In contrast with the unethical Robber Barons of the twentieth-century, Napoleoni (2024) describes Musk and his monopolist pals as Space Barons with supremacist aims:

Space Barons’ true business model for the cosmos […] to colonize, industrialize, and exploit the low Earth orbit to establish supremacy. NASA’s goal was military dominance; the Space Barons’ is monopolistic corporate dominance. 24

CALMER THAN YOU ARE

The Coen brothers created “The Big Lebowski.” The Coen brothers have said it is a mistake to boycott Israel. They had no problem accepting a million dollar award at Tel Aviv University in 2011. Joel Coen said, “We don’t really know Israel - we write American stories. That's what we know.” They don’t know apartheid Israel? Do they know what a “blockade” is? Do the Coen brothers think “settler colonialism” is a colonic?

“What the fuck has anything got to do with Israel? What the fuck are you talking about?” you might be thinking. Contrary to apologists of Israel such as the Coen brothers, boycotting Israel is the solution. The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement is a very effective approach to ending the war on Gaza. This is why the ruling elite—with the help of APAC—has so vehemently demonized BDS and BDS supporters. They fear it.

Israel has been an ethnonationalist apartheid state since it was established in 1948.25 If you don’t believe me read Antony Loewenstein’s book. He was raised as a Zionist and has lived in Israel.

I do not want people to be socially or politically organized in a Christian state, an Islamic state, a Buddhist state, a Jewish state, or a Scientology state. Everyone’s religious identity should not create social hierarchies within the society. We are all the same. When it comes to Israel, Elon Musk and every major U.S. politician are their apologists. If asked to support Israel, “The Dude abides.” Calmer than you are.
